With a strong background in polymer chemistry, Dr. Dasgupta has developed technologies for making natural product-based/integrated polymers for applications in drug delivery, coating of medical devices, and biocompatible plastics. Dr. Dasgupta is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Association of Carbohydrate Chemists & Technologists, India (Life Member).
