Dr. Falguni Dasgupta, Ph.D., is a highly accomplished author with extensive expertise in various fields of chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences. He holds an M.Sc. degree in Organic Specialization from Delhi University, India, and earned his Ph.D. from Gujarat University, India. With a strong background in polymer chemistry, Dr. Dasgupta has developed technologies for making natural product-based/integrated polymers for applications in drug delivery, coating of medical devices, and biocompatible plastics. Dr. Dasgupta is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Association of Carbohydrate Chemists & Technologists, India (Life Member).

Experience: R&D experience in a number of areas that included synthesis and delivery of complex organic molecules, design and synthesis of biomimetic libraries, conjugation chemistry and synthesis of targeting molecule coated microbubbles and nanoparticles for treating inflammation and delivery of anticancer compounds. Technologies involved included:
Glycotechnology: Total synthesis of complex carbohydrates and their biochemically relevant analogs for drug discovery purposes, Glycoconjugates synthesis, Protein carbohydrate conjugation chemistry.
Design and Synthesis of small libraries of Bioactive molecules: Antifungal azoles, Dipeptide mimetics as Endothelin receptor antagonists, Squalene epoxidase inhibitors containing Naphthalene core, Quinolone analogs.
Nanotechnology: Polymerized lipid nanoparticle, Synthesis of new lipid constituents for preparing novel NP constructs with specific surface chemistry, Targeted Nanoparticles for drug delivery, diagnostics as well as vaccine.
